• No Failure

    For revision eye surgery, we first evaluate the reasons behind the previous surgery and its results.

    <Overly high double-eyelid crease · Asymmetrical eyes / Uneven eyelids · Multiple creases · Loose double-eyelid crease · Revision of eye-shape correction>
    Revision eye surgery requires more than simply recreating an existing double-eyelid crease. The position and adhesion of the crease, skin laxity, eye-opening function, and asymmetry must all be carefully evaluated. At Private Plastic Surgery, we identify the causes of previous surgery and assess the remaining tissues to determine the most appropriate revision technique based on the current condition and desired eye shape.

    Meticulous Surgery & Care

    Throughout every step of the surgical and post-operative care process, we carefully consider and provide the best approach tailored to each patient’s individual eye condition. The key to successful revision eye surgery lies in an accurate diagnosis of the current eye condition, meticulous surgical techniques to address the underlying concerns, and genuine understanding of patients who have been affected by previous surgery. With years of experience and refined expertise, the specialists at Private Plastic Surgery carefully design each patient’s eyes based on their individual eye shape and overall balance, bringing the desired results to life through meticulous surgical techniques.

Q&A Now here, Private Plastic Surgery just for you
Q

Is it a MUST to go with incisional method for the revision eye surgery?

Revision surgery does not always require an incisional technique. If your previous eyelid surgery was performed using a non-incisional method, such as a buried-suture or natural adhesion technique, non-incisional revision surgery may still be an option. However, an incisional approach may be more suitable when there is excess tissue covering the eyelids that creates a heavy appearance, when the upper eyelids are noticeably puffy, when you wish to raise the crease significantly, or when you want to lower the existing crease substantially. Even in cases where the previous surgery was performed using an incisional technique, revision with a natural adhesion method may be possible depending on the individual condition of the eyelids. A thorough consultation and careful assessment are therefore essential in determining the most appropriate surgical plan.

Q

Is it possible to fix the “sausaged eye” with the revision eye surgery?

The puffy, “sausage-like” appearance that is commonly described in double eyelid surgery is often caused by setting the double eyelid crease too high for the individual’s eye structure. When the distance from the eyelashes to the crease is too high with the eyes closed, it is difficult to avoid an overly prominent or unnatural-looking crease. Through revision incisional double eyelid surgery, the crease can be appropriately lowered while also removing excess skin that covers the crease. This can significantly improve the “sausage-like” appearance without necessarily reducing the visible height of the double eyelid crease when the eyes are open.
